Registration

The cost for registration, which includes the cost of the Award Record Book, is $20.00

Bronze Award Ceremonies

Ther will be a Bronze Award Ceremony for interested Lower Mainland participants on Friday May 30th at 7PM in the Willingdon Church Hall in Burnaby. Application forms, Record Books and Adventurous Journey/ Expedition Reports should be passed to the Award office by April 30th---If you need more time please let me know.



Silver Award Ceremonies

Our Silver Award Ceremony will be held in Government House, Victoria on Saturday, May 10th at 2PM. The Honourable Steven Point, Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia, will present the Silver level certificates. Application Forms, Record Books and Adventurous Journey/Expedition Reports should be passed to the Award office by April 10th -- if you need more time please let me know.

We do not have a date for our fall 2008 Silver Award ceremony

Gold Award Ceremonies

Gold Award material is reviewed in our Award office and then passed to our National office for final approval-- this does take time. The date for our next Gold Award ceremony is not known. Gold Award ceremonies are not held every year--we do expect a ceremony in 2009. There are also Gold Award ceremonies held in other Divisions from time to time. We will keep all those who are waiting for a Gold Award ceremony informed.

AWARD MATERIAL

It is important that Award material be passed to the Award ofice as soon as completed--Record Book, Expedition/Adventurous Journey Report and the completed Application Form



MINISTRY OF EDUCATIONS EXTERNAL CREDENTIAL PROGRAM
[British Columbia and Yukon]

British Columbia and Yukon students are eligible for up to six(6) credits when they complete the Bronze, Silver and Gold levels of the Award program. Participants may apply for two(2) credits for the BRONZE for Grade 10, two credits for the SILVER for grade 11 and two(2) credits for GOLD for grade 12.

Bronze, Silver and Gold Levels

BRONZE, SILVER AND GOLD LEVELS (age requirements)

The earliest age for COMPLETION for each Award Level is:

Bronze..............All entrants...........................14 1/2 Years
Silver.................Bronze Award holders.........15 1/2 Years
Silver.................Direct entrants.....................16 Years
Gold...................Silver Award holders...........17 Years
Gold...................Direct Entrants....................17 1/2 Years

Participants may start at the Bronze level, if they wish, a few months prior to age 14, our Award Record Book page 11 paragraph 4 refers. The Bronze level may not be completed until at least age 14 and a half.

PARTICIPANTS WHO HAVE COMPLETED THE BRONZE OR SILVER LEVELS MAY MAKE A START ON THE NEXT HIGHER AWARD LEVEL WITHOUT WAITING TO AGE 15 OR 16 RESPECTIVELY.

THE MINIMUM AGE, AS SHOWN ABOVE REMAINS THE SAME.
