National Partnerships

When you partner with The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award - Canada, you are taking the first steps to Make a Difference in the lives of the young people. Across Canada on both a local and national level organizations, schools and youth groups are incorporating The Award into their programs to enhance and enrich the opportunities for young Canadians. If you feel that The Award would be a good fit within your organization, school or youth group please contact your local Divisional office.

Community Partnerships: Community partners support the delivery of the Award Program in numerous ways.

Scouts Canada: The Scouts Canada Mission is "To develop well rounded youth, better prepared for success in the world." Scouts Canada works to help youth fulfill their Duke of Edinburgh's Award goals.

Canadian Wildlife Federation: The Canadian Wildlife Federation is dedicated to ensuring an appreciation of our natural world and a lasting legacy of healthy wildlife and habitat by informing and educating Canadians, advocating responsible human actions; and representing wildlife on conservation issues.

Corporate Partnerships: Corporations with a community investment program can directly support The Award and help more than 44,000 Canadian youth reach their goals each year through our National Engagement Programs.

The TD Investing in Youth initiative is enabling The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award Program to deliver on our mandate of ensuring that young people, especially those in Canada's at-risk communities, have the opportunity to participate in The Award.

National Engagement Programs

Recognizing Excellence

The Award Program is non-competitive, allowing for every youth to feel great about achieving their self-guided goals in the areas they are most interested.

In our Recognizing Excellence activities, youth are invited to showcase their achievements and share their stories to encourage other young Canadians.

Social Mission Venture

Many of our Award Achievers have an interest to create their own business and a growing number have a mind for businesses that create a positive change in our world.

This initiative starts with a national callout for the next great business idea from our young leaders. The online engagement and encouragement builds interest in their ideas with valuable networking.

Added Program Value

Corporations can engage their employees in a variety of ways to help our Award participants reach their goals in Community Service and Skills.

Through The Award’s Added Program Value our youth gain more insight into careers and identify ways to create a successful career path in their field of interest.

National Events

In addition to the regional events that are hosted by our Divisions across Canada, our organization presents high profile events that are centered on special initiatives.
