Award Holder's Association
Overview and Introduction to the Award Holder's Association
(back to top)
Congratulations on achieving your Gold Award, an accomplishment to be proud of! After working so hard to achieve the Award, perhaps you would like to remain connected with the Programme and apply your skills by assisting the Award delivering it to other youth.
The Ontario Award Holder’s Association (AHA) was formed in 2003 to enable Award holders to contribute back to the Programme and to continue living in the spirit of the Award. We are actively involved in fundraising initiatives to provide opportunities for participants who would otherwise be unable to participate in the Award. In addition to sporting activities, such as dragon boat, social events are organized for members to meet and network with other fellow Award Achievers. Members also assist the Ontario Award office with assessing the ever increasing deluge of completed Awards; a much needed and welcomed service!
As you grow and develop into an active contributor to the Association, you may wish to take advantage of the Gold Internship Program (GIP), which offers Duke of Edinburgh's Gold Award holders some unique opportunities for summer employment.
Feel free to inquire about this great Program. We hope that you will consider joining AHA. If you would like further information and/or would like to join us, please e-mail us at pchan@tsh.to.
We look forward to seeing you in the future! Regards,
