Book Service Note: There appears
to be an issue with the Online Record Book (ORB) in regards to logging
dates. Once entered, ORB will display an incorrect month causing
confusion for participants (however it is recording the correct date behind the
scenes). The designers are aware of the issue and are working to correct
it. Sorry for any
inconvenience this will cause.
What is the Online Record Book?
The International Online Record Book (ORB)
is an online record book program of participants to track their all their Award
activities at the Bronze, silver, and Gold level. Once the sections and
the Award level are complete, you can submit your Award for review by the Award
Leader and the Division Office, all online. This means that it’s accessible via
the internet, anywhere and at any time, and the ORB clearly shows your progress
through the different sections of your Award. Attachments can be uploaded to
the ORB and filed with your Award electronically, and you can print out a
summary of your Award for a paper record at any time.
Currently, 5 Divisions are active on the
ORB. They are:
- Nova Scotia
- Newfoundland & Labrador
- Prince Edward Island
If you reside in any of those provinces and
wish to do your Award online, please contact the Division Office and they will be happy to help you get started.
Helpful tips if you are doing The Award
When you go to intawardorb.com:
- Register as a "New Participant"
- International Region - Americas
- Country - Canada
- Operating Authority - (Select to your Province.
Please ensure it is one of the 5 currently online)
- For Ontario participants: Your Sub-Operating Authority will be the region
in which your group is located. Then please pick your Award Unit (group).
- If you are an Independent Participant, please
register as an Independent Participant under the appropriate Sub-Operating
Authority. For example "Independent Participant - Manitoba"
- If you do not see your Award Unit listed as an
option, please contact the local Award Office. Please only register as an
Independent participant if you have been told to do so, otherwise you
should be registered under the appropriate group/unit.
- Please ensure you provide us with an email address you use
and have access to frequently. If you do not receive your password in 1-2
days, please contact your group leader or your local Award Authority. Also
make sure you check your Junk In-Box as the passwords tend to end up
here. Your username will be your
email address. It is recommended that you change your password at the time
you login. Passwords must be at least 6 characters long, contain a number
and a capital letter, and no symbols.
- Finally, choose your major and select your activities. A
Major allows direct entry participants to select one pillar of the Award
(Skill, Community Service, or Physical Recreation) which they will
undertake for an additional length of time. Please see the Summary of Conditions chart for more explanation. Start logging your activities! Your progress
bar will increase as you work on The Award.
