Favourite thing to eat in the office?
A bologna sandwich every day for lunch.

How do you like to relax/unwind?
In the evening I like to sit on the front porch with my wife and enjoy life.

What’s your superpower (or secret talent)?
For fun, I wrote and illustrated a couple of story books to read to our son.  They are about our cat and the first one was about a fishing trip with the Loch Ness Monster.

How do you give back?
In the past I have volunteered in the community and helped coach hockey however this all changed with the arrival of our son.  In a few years, I will not doubt be coaching his hockey team, baseball team, soccer team.

What was your most recent adventure?
This summer my mom and I climbed a pyramid at Teotihuacan, Mexico.  I was so excited to climb a pyramid that it wasn’t until we were halfway up that I remembered I do not really like heights.

What’s on your bucket list?
Skara Brae.  It is the remains of a 5000 year old village located on the Orkney Islands in Scotland and was discovered after a fierce storm in Victorian times.  The village is older than the Egyptian pyramids and Stonehenge.  I find it fascinating that 5000 years people lived in such remote places.  Why would they live there?  Did they chose or were they driven there?  There must be a story.

Favourite Film?
My favourite “bad” movie is “It Happens Every Spring”.  It’s a 1950s film about a college chemistry professor who accidentally creates a bottle of wood repellent and naturally decides to use the wood repellent to become a pitcher for his favourite baseball team (St. Louis Browns).  It gets complex as his girlfriend is the daughter of the college Dean who would never allow his daughter to date a baseball player.

Favourite ice cream flavour?
Moose Tracks by The Kawartha Dairy Company.

Best book you’ve read so far this year?
Winnie-the-Pooh by A.A. Milne.
