Jeff Needham

Executive Director

Jeff started with the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award in June 2005. He obtained a Political Science degree from McGill University and he brings a variety of experiences including international development, outdoor retail, and the operation of a guiding company in Ontario for several years. For the past several years he has been a volunteer for the United World Colleges and is currently part of his son’s school advisory committee. Jeff enjoys playing hockey and soccer, surfing, restoring classic cars, and travelling. His leisure time is spent having fun with his family and he hopes to inspire his son to enjoy outdoor pursuits as much as he does!

Alison has always been passionate about working in the non-profit sector and strives to live her life motto, “Be the change”. She has experience living and working in different parts of the country and around the world but has settled on Toronto as home.  Her other life passion is sports and she will most likely surprise you with her sports knowledge. Her dream is to see one of her hometown Toronto sports teams win a championship.   
Donna Dupuy

Donna Dupuy

Program Coordinator

Donna is the Program Coordinator for the Ontario Division.  She worked as an Award Leader for over eight years before joining the Ontario staff.  Donna earned her Master’s in Music from the University of North Texas and taught music at the university and high school level for 23 years.  Donna now conducts the Toronto New Horizons Band.  She is passionate about swimming and lifesaving and teaches aquatic leadership on the weekends.  She and her son and their menagerie of pets love living in the country.  Her interests include knitting, gardening, and reading. 
Karen Gormley

Regional Field Officer

Karen has been working forThe Duke of Edinburgh’s Award for the past 7 years, based out of the Boys & Girls Club of Ottawa with a specific focus on working with youth with disabilities and those youth who are new to Canada. Karen has a keen interest in the outdoors and staying fit. In her spare time, she enjoys playing soccer, swimming, cycling and skiing. Living the spirit of the Award, Karen has taken up crocheting and can’t say no to a volunteer opportunity! Karen is married with two daughters who require regular drives to arenas and swimming pools!
Marjorie Henhawk

Marjorie Henhawk

Award Officer - Six Nations and Surrounding Area

Marjorie ‘Marj’ Henhawk is a busy woman in the Award world and a dynamic mother of four and grandmother of three (though you would never guess it!). She has been a Field Officer with the Award on Six Nations, Ontario since 1997. She also holds down an additional position at GREAT (Grand River Employment and Training). Marj has a BA in Social Sciences from the University of Western Ontario, and her many interests include arts and crafts.

Award Officer, Peel Region

Stephanie Neil is our Peel Regional ​Award Officer. She is passionate about empowering and working with youth to encourage them to be their best selves. She has spent the last year travelling and working with youth and helping with local projects in various countries such as Nicaragua, China, and Kenya. Stephanie is excited to be joining the team at The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and to expand the Award in Peel and surrounding areas! She loves being outdoors and experiencing new things. She loves her dog, Riley, and enjoys long walks/hikes with her. She is a movie fanatic and always has a book by her side!
Cathlin Sullivan

Award Officer, Toronto

Cathlin is our Toronto Award Officer. She moved to Toronto six years ago, and it has quickly become her forever-home. Coming from a background in education, Cathlin has her Masters of Education in Social Justice Education and has been working with young adults in the secondary and post-secondary sector for the past few years. She is excited to join the Award, and help ensure that as many youths in Toronto as possible can complete the programme. When not at work, Cathlin can be found writing poetry and journalism, and loves volunteering in her community.

Camille is a recent graduate of Media and Communications at Humber College.  As a well-traveled individual Camille is always up for a journey. In her free time, Camille enjoys playing soccer and hockey and is intrigued and captivated by good graphic design and effective public relations.
Laura Roberts

Southwestern Ontario Award Officer

Laura Roberts is our South Western Ontario Award Officer. She is passionate about experiential education and helping youth find the tools they need to challenge themselves and contribute to their communities. Laura has a history in outdoor education/summer camp and is continually seeking ways to expand her leadership and facilitation skills. She is passionate about yoga, gardening and exploring the outdoors. Laura loves finding new ways to be active and travelling to far off places to explore natural sites. Laura is excited to be joining The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award team and to expand participation in London and surrounding areas!
