You’ve got questions? We’ve got answers.

These are frequently asked questions from the past when we’ve done events of this nature. If you have a question that is not answered here, please email us at p2p@dukeofed.org and follow us on social media for continuous updates about #passiontopurpose

Q: What age do I have to be to apply?
A: You must be between the ages of 16 and 24 to apply.

Q: Do I have to be a Duke of Ed Participant to apply for Passion to Purpose?
A: You must be a Duke of Ed Participant or a Duke of Ed alumni to apply. 

Q: How do I apply?
A: You must ​fill in the application form at the bottom of the page that describes who you are, what your passion is, and how you plan to use said passion to make a difference in your community. Be creative with your application!

Q: How many applicants will be accepted?
A: We will be accepting 100 applicants for each in-person forum.

Q: What expenses are covered for me?
A: Your $200 registration fee includes: Accommodations and food for the entire week; airfare travel to Regina, SK; transportation to and from the airport to the University of Regina upon arrival and departure. 

Q: I’m over the age of 24, how can I be involved?
A: If you are over the age of 24, we can still use you! The Duke of Ed is always looking for dedicated educators and individuals to become Award Leaders, mentors and partners. If you are interested in volunteering with us, email us at p2p@dukeofed.org

Q: How many passion to purpose forums will be held?
A: To date, there are three forums taking place. One in August of 2018, and two in the summer of 2019.

Q: I didn’t get accepted; now what?
A: All hope is not lost! The Duke of Ed will be live-streaming all of our key-note speeches, as well as archiving workshops and curriculum materials so that you can follow along from home. If you did not get accepted to the first forum event, we strongly encourage you to apply for the next one! Be sure to reach out to your local division for support and guidance. We are always here to help!

Passion to Purpose is an initiative developed under the Canada Service Corps, a federal program that is being developed by youth, for youth. The program aims to support young Canadians to get involved in the community through service opportunities.
