Tell us about your Award journey – why did you decide to start your Award?

Both my brothers have done it, and I had always wanted to see what it was like. I couldn’t wait to start the second I turned 14!

What do you like about the Award?

I like the opportunities it provides with the different trips all around the world, and how it helps motivate you to do different things.

What do you find challenging about the Award?

Something that is challenging about the Award is learning how to set and work on goals, because before, I had always done lots of things, but now I have to focus more on specific goals.

What sort of challenges are you facing in your day-to-day life, as a result of COVID-19? How has this impacted you?

It’s challenging to stay motivated to do certain activities, and hard to keep motivated while doing online classes.

Is the Award helping you to deal with any of these challenges? If so, how?

Because of the Award, I have to get outside and do some physical activities and practice my instruments.

Have you had to adapt your Award ac:vi:es as a result of COVID-19? If so, how? Has anything remained the same?

I started my award during COVID-19, so from the very beginning of my award, I’ve had pick goals that I could do during self-isolation.

Have you found any interesting solutions to help you continue with your Award during COVID-19?

I have an online basketball clinic every week because my team isn’t allowed to play, and I’ve had to start doing my tutoring online.
