On July 2nd, Award Canada will host the Ontario Education Leadership Gathering, bringing together public education leaders from across Ontario to explore how the Award framework is being embedded into school systems to support student development in real, measurable ways.
This event will spotlight the Co-curricular Approach a strategic initiative that connects the Award to Ontario’s education priorities, including career readiness, equity, and whole-student development. With pilots already underway in school boards and colleges across the province, the event will highlight early successes and explore what’s next.
The gathering will include:
- Senior leaders from public and Catholic school boards
- Postsecondary institutions focused on skilled trades and technology
- Youth participants and educators delivering the Award
- Philanthropic supporters and community champions
We are honoured to welcome both The Honourable Edith Dumont, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, and HRH The Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh to the Ontario Education Leadership Gathering. Their presence brings both global recognition and provincial leadership to this moment—highlighting the importance of experiential learning, equity, and student voice in shaping the future of education in Ontario and beyond.
