Award Awareness Week launches with a powerful session on resilience, vision, and the mindset that fuels achievement. Join us on Monday, October 20 at 12 PM ET for Unlocking Potential: Growth Mindset, featuring Michelle Stilwell, one of Canada’s most decorated Paralympians.
Michelle’s journey—from becoming a paraplegic at 17 to winning gold medals in two different sports and serving as a provincial cabinet minister—is a masterclass in perseverance and purpose. She’ll share practical strategies for goal setting, visualization, and maintaining a growth mindset, drawing from her experience as an elite athlete, public servant, and advocate for inclusion.
Hosting the session is Peter Lawless, Michelle’s longtime coach and mentor—and a Gold Award alum. Peter has spent decades helping athletes break world records and rebuild their lives through sport. His belief in the transformational power of sport has shaped the careers of Paralympic champions and continues to inspire new generations of leaders.
Together, Michelle and Peter will explore how mindset shapes success—and how anyone can tap into their potential, no matter the obstacles.
Whether you’re a student, educator, parent, or professional, this session will leave you inspired and equipped to take on your next challenge.
