Example SMART Goal: I want to get better at racing simulations, so I’m committing to 1 hour of practice each week for 13 weeks. My focus will be on mastering proper racing lines and slowly turning off assists like auto-steer. By the end, I want my lap times to show real improvement.

Example Assessor: Teacher, coach, or community member who enjoys gaming or motorsport

Example Log: Tried a new track today and really focused on nailing each turn’s apex. Shaved 3 seconds off my best time! Next up: working on my braking points.

Example SMART Goal: Racing drivers need to be in shape, so I’m going to work on my cardio and core strength. For 13 weeks, I’ll spend an hour each week running and doing targeted exercises, tracking my times and reps to see progress.

Example Assessor: Gym teacher, fitness instructor, or recreation center staff

Example Log: 20-minute run plus core work today. Beat last week’s run time by 30 seconds! Adding neck exercises next time to build endurance for those long gaming sessions.

Example SMART Goal: I’d like to volunteer at a local auto shop or tire center, helping out with basic tasks like tire changes and customer service. An hour a week for 13 weeks – I’ll track what I learn along the way.

Example Assessor: Shop manager, mechanic, or volunteer coordinator

Example Log: Helped with three tire rotations and learned to check tire pressure properly. The mechanic taught me how to spot uneven wear. Learning about wheel alignment next week.

(Completed as a team. Participants will work together to plan and complete their journey.)

Example Activity: Go on a car-spotting adventure in your community! Walk or bike through different neighborhoods to photograph and document various vehicles – rare finds, classics, or unique models. Research the history of interesting cars you find.

Example Team Goal: As a team, we’re going to explore at least 3 different areas, document 20+ vehicles, and put together a presentation about the coolest cars we find and their history.

Example Assessor/Supervisor: Teacher, Award Leader, or automotive club member
