Example SMART Goal: I want to become a better Dungeon Master, so for 13 weeks I’m dedicating an hour each week to developing my storytelling skills. I’ll practice describing scenes vividly and creating narratives that keep my players hooked.

Example Assessor: Teacher, school club advisor, or local game store staff who runs or plays in D&D games

Example Log: Practiced describing a dungeon room to my group today. Made bullet points first (old bed, broken window, hidden enemy) then described it like I was walking into the room. The players were way more engaged!

Example SMART Goal: D&D combat scenes inspire me to move! I’m going to spend an hour each week on movement training (footwork, balance, and light cardio) to improve my coordination and overall fitness.

Example Assessor: Gym teacher, martial arts instructor, or recreation center staff

Example Log: Practiced stances and footwork patterns with a broomstick for balance. Held guard position for 2 minutes. That’s 30 seconds longer than last week! Adding lunges next session.

Example SMART Goal: Lots of people want to learn D&D! I’m creating tutorial content for our online community, an hour each week for 13 weeks. I’ll track views, comments, and feedback to keep improving.

Example Assessor: D&D club advisor, community moderator, or game store coordinator

Example Log: Posted a video tutorial on creating character backstories to our Discord. Got 15 views and 3 comments asking for more! Making a guide on role-playing personality traits next.

(Completed as a team. Participants will work together to plan and complete their journey.)

Example Activity: Create a real-life D&D-style adventure! Design a quest with challenges, puzzles, and checkpoints along your route. Each team member takes on a character role, and you work together to complete objectives while exploring new places.

Example Team Goal: Our party will tackle at least 5 team challenges, rotate who’s leading, document our adventure with photos and a quest log, and debrief about what we learned about working together.

Example Assessor/Supervisor: Teacher, Award Leader, or local game store coordinator
