Example Activity: Urban art exploration by foot, discovering murals, sculptures, and street performances across different neighborhoods.

Example Team Goal: Our team will explore at least 4 different neighborhoods, document 15+ pieces of public art, interview a local artist or arts organization, and create a visual presentation about how art shapes community identity.

Example Assessor/Supervisor: Teacher, Award Leader, or arts organization coordinator

Example SMART Goal: Art walks are more exercise than you’d think! I’m building my walking endurance over 13 weeks, aiming to comfortably walk 10 km in one go. I’ll track my distance and pace each week.

Example Assessor: Gym teacher, fitness instructor, or recreation center staff

Example Log: Walked 6 km through the downtown core today, stopping to sketch some murals. My feet felt good the whole time – definitely building stamina. Adding hills to my route next week.

Example SMART Goal: I want to develop my painting skills to better appreciate street art! Over 13 weeks, I’ll dedicate an hour each week to practicing different techniques, aiming to complete 8 original pieces.

Example Assessor: Art teacher, community art center instructor, or school art club advisor

Example Log: Experimented with spray paint techniques today using cardboard. It’s harder than graffiti artists make it look! Learning about layering and stencils. Creating my first small mural design next week.

Example SMART Goal: I want to brighten someone’s day through art! For 13 weeks, I’ll spend an hour each week creating and sending handmade cards to seniors through a local program.

Example Assessor: Program coordinator, seniors’ center volunteer supervisor, or community organization staff

Example Log: Made 5 cards with watercolor designs today. Learning that bright colors and simple messages work best. One volunteer told me a resident cried happy tears receiving a card last week. That made my day!
