Scouting and the Award

Canadian Rover Award

See how your Rover Scouting activities, including those completed toward the Canadian Rover Scout Award, can align with The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award. Many elements of the Rover program, such as advanced Outdoor Adventure Skills, leadership roles, community service hours, and your community-based project, can support progress in the Award’s Service, Skills, Physical Recreation, and Gold Project sections.

If you’re already working toward the Canadian Rover Scout Award, you’re well positioned to complete meaningful requirements in both programs. The Award recognizes the commitment, leadership, and initiative demonstrated through Rover-level experiences, and provides a nationally and internationally recognized framework to reflect on those achievements. It’s a powerful way to track impact, strengthen post-secondary or career applications, and gain additional recognition for the work you’re already doing.
