Online Record Book

What is the Online Record Book?

The Online Record Book (ORB) is an online system designed to help of participants track their all their Award activities at the Bronze, Silver, and Gold level.  Once the sections of the Award level are complete, participants submit their Award for review by their Award Leader, all online. This means that it’s accessible via the internet, anywhere and at any time, and the ORB clearly shows the progress made  through the different sections of the Award.  Participants can upload documents, presentations, photos, or templates right to their ORB accounts.

Helpful Tips when setting up your ORB account

  • If you do not see your Award Centre listed as an option, please contact the Award Support Centre. Please only register as an Independent participant if you have been told to do so, otherwise you should be registered under the appropriate group/unit.
  • Please ensure to sign up on ORB with an email address you use and have access to frequently. Your ORB username will be your email address. If you do not receive your confirmation email to verify your account within 30 minutes after registering on ORB, please check your spam/junk folder.
  • Once you have signed up ORB and confirmed your email,  your account will be activated by your Award Leader within 2-3 business days. Remember your parents and guardians will need to confirm your account if you are under 18 years of age. If they do not receive the consent email, please ask them to check their spam/junk folder.
  • Once your account has been activated, choose your major and select your activities. A Major allows direct entry participants to select one section of the Award (Skill, Community Service, or Physical Recreation) which they will undertake for an additional length of time. Please see the Summary of Conditions  chart for more explanation. Start logging your activities! Your progress bar will increase as you work on the Award.
